Brief History: Having been founded by William Deloitte in 1845, The name "Deloitte" has the longest continuous existence of any firm name in the accounting profession. It became Deloitte and touché in 1990, and Deloitte touché tomahatsu in 1993. By 2006, the firm also had consulting, financial advisory, enterprise risk and merger and acquisition services. The year ending 31 May 2006 saw a turnover of$20billion.
